U-Power Group has completed the acquisition of CERVA. It will expand its range of workwear and protective equipment.
CERVA GROUP, a leading European supplier of workwear and personal protective equipment, has officially become part of the Italian group U-Power. This creates a pan-European player operating in more than sixty markets.
The new group has a turnover approaching half a billion euros and aims to further strengthen its position in the European market.
“The merger with CERVA represents an important step in the further development of the U-Power group. We are combining two strong and complementary companies, which will allow us to accelerate growth in European markets and offer customers an even more comprehensive product portfolio while maintaining our focus on quality, innovation, and workplace safety,” says Franco Uzzeni, CEO and founder of the
U-Power Group and now also Chairman of the Board of CERVA GROUP.
The two companies complement each other both geographically and in terms of products. U-Power is one of the leaders in the European safety footwear market with a dominant position in Italy, France, and Spain, while CERVA has long been among the key suppliers of personal protective equipment in Central, Eastern, and Northern Europe. The merger will thus offer customers a broader range of products and leverage the strengths of both brands — U-Power’s technologically and design-advanced work footwear and CERVA’s strong portfolio of work gloves, clothing, and other protective equipment.
“For CERVA, joining the U-Power Group is a natural step in the company’s further development. The partnership opens new opportunities for us in terms of product portfolio, knowledge sharing, and further growth in European markets, while continuity in cooperation and services remains key for our customers and business partners,” adds Miroslav Rous, Executive Director of CERVA GROUP.
Investments in product development and innovation will also be part of this next phase of development. CERVA has been expanding its product portfolio for some time and is preparing new collections of workwear and protective equipment, scheduled to launch later this year.
CERVA will continue to operate under its established brand and maintain its collaboration with its existing distribution network and customers across Europe. Current sales and customer support, as well as the method of cooperation with partners, will also remain unchanged.
