In Soriso, north-west Italy, P.F. Uzzeni's father founded Almar, a company specialising in the production of sports shoes for international brands such as Puma and Adidas.

The JAL Group
P.F. Uzzeni sold Almar to the CVC Capital Partner fund, which united Jallatte, Lupos and Aimont under the new JAL Group. Uzzeni became its CEO for five years under a non-compete agreement.

The birth of U‑Power
After his experience at JAL, Pier Franco Uzzeni founded U-Invest and launched the U‑Power brand with a clear and ambitious mission: to produce and distribute new-generation safety footwear with the aim of becoming the world number one in the sector. Success in Europe was immediate.

Diletta Leotta becomes brand ambassador for U‑Power, with highly successful campaigns. The Group's brands consolidate the range: U‑Power with over 30 ranges, Jallatte and Aimont with more than 40 collections. U‑Power becomes title sponsor of the Brianza stadium, renamed U‑Power Stadium, and naming sponsor of A.C. Monza.
