Our people

U‑Power Group believes that the success of the company is based primarily on people.

Results and objectives

More than 4,000 people with skills, passion and experience contribute to the Group's growth every day. We want to ensure a safe, inclusive and meritocratic working environment, where everyone can express their talents. In 2024, 70% of employees had a permanent contract, almost all worked full-time, and 635 new employees were hired (with positive turnover). 2025 will see an organisational climate survey, which aims to further improve the working environment.

We are constantly investing in training and skills development. In 2024, more than 12,900 hours of training were provided, including on the most in-demand digital skills (Salesforce or Power BI). We look to the next generation by collaborating on projects with universities and schools, to encourage the meeting between young talent and business.

Employee welfare at the centre

In Italy, meal vouchers were introduced and preventive health programmes were launched; in Tunisia, free transport services were increased and medical screening for employees was guaranteed. Investments in safety and comfort at work exceeded EUR 1.5 million.

Diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities

Our HR policy promotes equal opportunities and valuing differences, inspired by the principles of the International Labour Organisation. Women represent 44% of the workforce, and no cases of discrimination, child labour or forced labour were recorded in the three-year period 2022-24.

Health and safety

Continuous training, health surveillance and dedicated procedures keep the accident rate down, ensuring safe working environments in compliance with standards. Since 2021, the Tunisian production site has been ISO 45001 certified, now extended to 96% of the workforce. We continue to invest in regular risk analyses and targeted improvement measures.

Industrial relations

All employees are covered by collective bargaining. Specifically, in Italy, the CCNL Calzaturiero (national collective bargaining agreement for footwear) applies, which regulates rights, working conditions and wages (above 80% of the legal minimum). The wage policy is fair and transparent, in range with Living Wage principles.

Corporate climate

The dialogue with the trade unions is based on cooperation and transparency: in 2024, there were no incidents of conflict or restrictions on freedom of association. This solidity helps to maintain a climate of mutual trust and a peaceful working environment.
