A system to protect the environment
At our plant in Tunisia, we have adopted an Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with the ISO 14001 standard. This approach allows us to prevent environmental risks, improve processes and ensure sustainable management of production activities.

EcoVadis: an award that pushes us further
U‑Power has been awarded the GOLD medal by EcoVadis, entering the Top 5% of the 150,000 companies evaluated worldwide and the Top 2% of the manufacturing sector. An achievement that rewards our commitment to the environment, human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Not a final goal, but an incentive to grow responsibly.

Clean energy, fewer emissions
In 2024, the total energy consumption was 107,870 GJ, up from 2023, due to the inclusion of the Italian sites in the reporting. From 2022, we purchase electricity from certified renewable sources, now 12% of the total. GHG emissions decreased by 12% from 2022 to 2024. We are expanding monitoring to include 6 Scope 3 categories by 2025.

Increasingly sustainable materials
By 2024, we have purchased 14,000 tonnes of materials (+8% compared to 2023). The composition sees leather (24%), textiles and synthetics (42%) and packaging (22%). We invest materials such as recycled polyester, regenerated fabrics and bio-based polyurethane to reduce the impact of our products.

Leather Efficiency Program
In 2024, the Leather Efficiency Programme was launched, with new cutting machines and a reading machine to reduce waste and improve quality control. This resulted in a 2% reduction in production-related GHG emissions and a 2.28% saving in leather consumption.

How we manage waste
In 2024, the Group generated 1,410 tonnes of waste, an increase compared to 2023 due to the inclusion of the Italian sites. 11% is hazardous waste (e.g. spent metal canisters), which is disposed of through specialised operators. All waste is managed in accordance with standards and with accredited suppliers, reinforcing the commitment to responsible supply chain management.
